Colourful rain by Swiss artist Urs Fischer create quite the impact with a mysterious presence. The piece is titled “Melodrama”, and consists of hundreds of drops of plaster painted in different color schemes and hung from the ceiling of the gallery _ MOCA in California _ with nylon threads. Some drops “fall” on clay sculptures reminiscent of neoclassical statues.
The chromatic sensation Fischer achieves borders on the disturbing: he dominates light and colour so masterfully that sometimes we doubt whether we are in a real or virtual space.
A grand aesthetic experience.
